This class explored scientific evidence of controllable factors that can enhance and maintain healthy cognitive function. It began with an introduction to pertinent aspects of brain function and a review of developments that have influenced current thought about maintaining and enhancing cognitive function. The discussion continued during a walk through the gardens.
Dr. Robert Tager is a neurologist and gerontologist whose recent courses at USC have included “Introduction to Clinical Medicine”, “Ethical Issues in Geriatric Health Care” and “Introduction to Neuroscience”. He is also an Arboretum docent and has been developing health and wellness classes there.
